Donation Day makes for good memories

Here it is, only a few hours before today’s Donation Day Parade, and it is raining. However, that won’t dampen the spirits of the children who will take part in this event. My daughter Jane has chosen her can of food and is eagerly looking forward to marching with her classmates. She will become the fifth generation of our family to participate in this local tradition. Despite this rain, I am sure it will leave her with good memories as it did for myself, my father, my grandmother and my great-grandmother.
