DJs ridicule the Meltdown

Monday morning I was driving my son to school and I turned on our local FM radio station. Instead of tuning in to the traffic report, I was astonished to hear the DJs making derogatory comments regarding the community Meltdown.

I do understand that they are entitled to an opinion. However, I felt that this went beyond opinion. These people are supposed to be well-respected representatives of our community, and in this instance, I do not believe they were representing Nevada County accurately or appropriately.

I, for one, along with the two other members of my household, will refrain from tuning in to this station until the DJs have issued a formal apology to the Meltdown participants. I am sure that once word gets out about this inappropriate behavior, other Meltdowners will follow suit.

These participants are working very hard to reach their health and wellness goals and do not deserve to be ridiculed by members of the community for their efforts.
