Discussion on Sudan

The Congregation B’nai Harim will present a discussion on Sudan and the war in Darfur. This event will occur on Tuesday, Feb. 22, at 7 p.m., and will be open to the public. The discussion will be based on material from the Great Decisions 2005 and will be led by Rabbi Oblath.

Sudan is the largest country in Africa, equal in size to all land east of the Mississippi. Darfur is a province in North Sudan equal in size to France. Newsweek ranked Sudan’s dictator as the world’s No. 1 worst. He has encouraged the white Islamists to rape and murder the black Islamists in what Colin Powell called genocide. A mean force of soldiers, the janjaweeds, is committing these cruel pogroms. The world should not look the other way.

Our congregation is located at 506 Walsh St. Refreshments will be served.
