Devoted AA member had touched many over the years

Thanks to the miracle of the Internet, I have just read, here in Pennsylvania, a recent article by David Mirhadi about Harry Craig.

The article is, to me, a touching tribute to a man and the impact of his dedication and efforts on behalf of the AA movement. To those who knew him, of course, his endeavors reached way beyond central California … in the east, in South Carolina, in Canada … wherever his work as an accountant for a large construction company took him, he brought his commitment to helping others. Indeed, his legacy is reflected in the many lives he helped and influenced, wherever he and his wife lived.

How wonderful to have had a positive impact on so many lives, especially those torn by the agony of alcoholism.

Oh yes! I did know Harry. He was my oldest brother, and I will always be proud of his life, his tireless efforts, his quiet strength, his calm demeanor … indeed, his legacy as someone who cared.

I am equally sure that those who really knew Harry will remember him for the unique and inspiring person he became.
