Detox serves need

Nevada County is in desperate need. Yes. Whenever a citizen cannot get immediate help for a consistent and life-threatening problem, for example the very life-threatening process of detoxification from drugs or alcohol, threat is imposed. The need for immediate help is, as a preventative measure to suicide, murder, and other crimes that occur when an addict’s (i.e., alcoholic) body is screaming for a drug, the only obvious choice. I personally believe that if local law enforcement had somewhere to take people who need help but haven’t committed a crime, they would fully utilize that facility. A place where people could go to get immediate help from the effects of their addiction would be a tremendous help to the community and a preventative measure against crime and domestic discontent. A beginning of sorts.
