Demos second-class citizens

Ms. Karen Chileski seems to be upset that with 26,191 Republicans in the county we still have people on the left holding county supervisor seats. She states the next largest party (Democrats) has only 18,634 members. I’m one of those liberal Democrats.

Evidently Ms. Chileski is the spokesperson for the business owners. In her article she orders that they must vote Republican as “The livelihood of your business could depend on your involvement and that of other business owners.”

Now I do not have the power to tell someone how they should vote, including business people, but I do have the power not to shop at Republican shops. Imagine 18,000 Democrats taking their business elsewhere. (Auburn and Roseville have some nice stores) I bet Ms. Chileski shops out of town sometimes.

So now that we Democrats know we are second-class citizens in Nevada County, we will try to stay in our place.
