Deer needed cleaning up

Where are the animal control or the air quality people when you need them? Very early Sept. 20, a deer was hit and killed on Rough and Ready Highway in the Sunset area. It was allowed to lie on the side of the road until the 23rd. The stench was so bad that we were unable to be in our front yards or have our windows open.

Numerous calls were made to have it removed to no avail. Is there such a thing as an emergency response on the weekends? Seems to me that someone could have picked the deer up on Friday before our air quality was affected.
