Wes and Hazel Davis celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary recently with a weeklong stay at Sunnyside Resort in Lake Tahoe.

They were married Oct. 14, 1942, in Fairfield.

After three years in the South Pacific in World War II, Mr. Davis returned to his bride, who was working at the Alameda Naval Air Station.

The Davis children are Wesley Jr. of Vacaville, Carolyn of Concord and Dennis of Nevada City.

There are six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mr Davis retired from the heating and air-conditioning business in 1975.

Mrs. Davis retired from real estate.

The Davises belong to the Nevada City Elks and the Nevada County Country Club.

Mr. Davis also belongs to SIRS, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Native Sons.

They have lived in Nevada County 14 years.
