Dangerous trees

The city of Nevada City has failed to put the safety of its residents above politics. The council has become anti-homeowner-rights’ advocates. The proposed tree “ordinance” is pure liberalism. It says the city has more control over your home than you do.

The suspension of tree removal is directly responsible for the spread of the beetle infestation that has killed several large pine trees adjacent to my property. The city sent out their arborist to give them the answer they wanted. Yep, four trees are dead.

She missed the point. We have a severe infestation in our neighborhood. Three arborists have confirmed this. We need a council that will put the safety of its residents above their liberal tendencies to control our lives and property. What about fire-defensible space?
