Dai for Treasurer

A Treasurer should support openness and transparency. But Tina Vernon appears to be the candidate of secrecy. In the League of Women voter’s forum last May, Tina admitted that E. Christina Dabis recruited her to be a candidate for Treasurer three years ago. But Tina Vernon’s boss kept it a secret from her boss (CEO Rick Haffey) and the Supervisors. She didn’t file her Candidate Statement of Intention until Jan. 15 of this year … a full year after her website domain name was purchased. And she tried to keep her bankruptcy a secret. For these reasons I cannot vote for “The Secret Candidate” Tina Vernon.

All of this hand-picking of successors smells like cronyism to me and smacks of not trusting the voters to make the “right” choice.

I have had the pleasure of meeting with Dai and having some serious conversations with him. I feel that he is the man for the job.
