Crash victims still listed as critical

A 20-year-old crash victim’s medical condition improved, but his two friends remained in critical condition, a Sutter Roseville Medical Center supervising nurse said Tuesday.

Ed Wessinger of Grass Valley improved from fair to good condition after suffering a broken thigh bone in a Nov. 12 crash on Highway 20 near Bear Valley.

Two other passengers, 20-year-old Sean Sanford and 23-year-old Samuel Miller, were still in critical condition.

The crash killed the driver, 20-year-old Brandin Klundt, after his car struck a tree near Lowell Hill Road.
