County temps get retroactive pay hike

The Nevada County Board of Supervisors approved retroactive pay increases for temporary employees last week.

The board approved retroactive payments for all temporary employees who were on the county payroll when retroactive pay for permanent employees went into effect in September 2000.

The board recognized the contributions temporary employees have made to county government and took action to remedy a situation not addressed in last year’s classification and compensation study, Supervisor Elizabeth Martin said.
