Councilor backs Stein

How important is each vote?

In 1996, with six candidates vying for three seats on the Nevada City city council, I managed to secure the third seat with a nail-biting, two-vote “cushion” over the fourth-place finisher. Understandably, the fourth-place finisher asked for a recount, but after five hours of hand counting the ballots I still had a two-vote landslide win.

So please vote June 6; your vote does, indeed, count.

And while you’re in the voting booth, I’d appreciate it if you marked the box next to Sheila Stein’s name. Sheila’s going to be a great councilwoman for Nevada City.
