“Wily girl escapes trunk kidnapping.”

This article appeared in The Union on Feb. 15 on page 4. In my opinion, this article should be on the front page of every newspaper in the country.

Why? So that parents across the country could be aware of the wonderful gift this resourceful father gave to his young girl. By teaching her a very valuable survival skill – how to escape from the trunk of a car – he probably saved her from a horrible death at the hands of the scum-bag who kidnapped her and put her into his trunk. Parents, listen up!

I also can’t believe the pitifully low bail the judge put on this predator: $100,000? The guy was driving a Jag and lives in the Bay Area. He’s facing a long and very difficult time in prison and maybe he’s done this before? If he absconds, he may do it again. I really have to applaud the judges in our county. They give out $1- and $1.5- million dollar bails to our local armed pot thieves.
