Correct information makes you a liberal?

The author on Jan. 26 forgot to add the question mark (?). He states that liberals don’t hate anybody, “not even the puppet in the White House,” and with another diatribe against the administration.

The liberals have had some excellent presidents and fine statesmen, but the Republican Party was formed in 1854 by opponents of slavery and has had an equal number of outstanding leaders.

Republicans don’t support CEOs who disobey our laws and judicial system, but we feel that tax cuts should apply to those that pay the most, as well as all taxpayers.

Eliminate waste. We are not socialists. Our belief is less government. Cap spending. We support humanitarian efforts, but should not be subservient to the U.N. Government programs should be accountable.

California is a mess. The Democratic Party is becoming known as “the party of whiners.” This is said with tongue in cheek. I recognize that not all liberals are alike.

Respect for divergent views is earned.

The interpretation of facts and what is a fact seem to vary between our parties. This will not change, but sarcasm and negativism limit a discussion.
