Constitution Day

It is unfortunate that so many are unaware of what is happening to the reality of our situation in the United States. The Sept. 12 front page of The Union shows a photograph of the Constitution Day parade as if it was Mardi Gras.

In a time when the Bush administration is essentially burning our Constitution, since Sept. 11, there is no picture of any of the precious signing re-enactment, which was the purpose of the celebration.

The irony of that picture shows two dressed as Arabs. All 19 of the highjackers who took down the twin towers were Arabs, of which 15 were from Saudi Arabia. Pray for the wisdom of it all, as I hope you all did that day.
