Come one, come all

Send us your sex offenders, we don’t prosecute.

I am sick and tired of reading about sex offenders not being prosecuted in my community. Isn’t the judicial system set up to hand down the consequences to ones actions?

This does not appear to be happening in our county.

I read about a little 4-year-old boy who was sexually abused by his own father. Then there was the story of J.C. Horn who lured his minor victims with drugs and alcohol and five of his six charges were dropped. That means five of the six victims are not being heard as well as the voice of a 4-year-old who, by the way, will have issues whether a trial happens or not.

So, Mr. New District Attorney of Nevada County, it is high time you get busy and do your job. I for one plan on paying a lot more attention to how, or if, you are doing your job. Because I believe it is our job to be the voice for our children when the system fails. My children, your children and all the children of my Nevada County.
