Paula Orloff: Dare we question the CDC/vaccine industry?

The Centers for Disease Control/Food and Drug Administration/Health and Human Services/American Academy of Pediatrics recommendations for vaccines come from the vaccine industry.

There are reasons to question the quality and ethics of vaccine recommendations. The standards for determining safety of vaccines are shoddy.

Michael Belkin documents the faulty vaccine testing and approval process in the 2012 book, “Vaccine Epidemic.” Robert F. Kennedy Jr., in 2016 “EcoWatch,” reports rampant vaccine corruption, fraud and conflicts of interest in the CDC.

Since 1986, there has been an exponential increase in the number of vaccines administered to children. The reason for the increase is telling. In 1986, as a result of mounting lawsuits against the vaccine industry for the DPT shot, which caused serious disabilities and deaths, the feds passed the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act (NCVIA). It exempted vax manufacturers from financial liability for childhood vaccine harm.

Let’s dialogue rather than denying research and demonizing concerns.

Since the 1986 exemption, recommended doses for children up to 6 years exploded from 10 to 49. This is two to three times more vaccines than children in most developed countries receive, yet the U.S. has some of the highest rates of serious childhood health disorders. See the post at Preventdisease.com, “The U.S. Has the Most Aggressive Mandated Vaccine Schedule in the World.” This may be causal based on many studies of vaccine effects.

For instance, G.S. Goldman and Neil Z. Miller in 2012 investigated CDC multiple dose vaccine recommendations for infants up to one year. They found significantly more hospitalizations and deaths compared to those receiving fewer vaccinations. “The safety of CDC’s childhood vaccination schedule was never affirmed in clinical studies … No child should be subjected to a health policy that is not based on sound scientific principles and, in fact, has been shown to be potentially dangerous.”

On July 7, 1999, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Public Health Service called for the immediate removal of Thimerosal from children’s vaccines because they exceeded all safety limits. This, after years of injecting it into the bodies of children. Thimerosal is 50% ethyl mercury — highly neurotoxic even in minute amounts. However, many vaccines presently contain “trace amounts” so they’re not required to list it. Also, since 2002 the CDC recommends pregnant women and young children get flu shots. The trivalent version contains more than trace amounts. Ironically, several scientific journals report the flu vaccine is ineffective with children under 2 and older people. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. edited the book, “Thimerosal, Let the Science Speak,” 2015. It contains hundreds of scientific studies showing these conclusions.

Aluminum is an adjuvant in vaccines that has similar neurological and health effects to mercury, especially when injected rather than ingested. Other questionable ingredients include Polysorbate 80. It enables the transfer of aluminum, mercury and other toxic metals across the blood brain barrier. Among other sources, see “Aluminum in Vaccines …”, May 7, 2018 by Kendall Nelson, Weston. A. Price Foundation publication.

The history of faulty, dangerous vaccines is another reason to rethink vaccine industry assurances. Many previously approved vaccines have been pulled from the market due to serious health conditions, including deaths. This included DPT, Rota Shield, MMR, Salk and Sabin polio vaccines. Neil Z. Miller’s 2015 and 2016 books and Suzanne Humphries, MD, 2013 book, Dissolving Illusions report this ongoing issue.

A number of vaccines, including MMR, are problematic. Measles increasingly occurs among vaccinated populations, some of them 90 to 100% vaccinated. Celeste McGovern’s April 4 article, “Measles, Measles, Everywhere,” documents this. Vaccine immunity wears off, unlike natural immunity. Before the approval of the measles vaccine in 1963, as with many other diseases, measles deaths declined precipitously because of public sanitation, improved nutrition and health care. CDC reported from 2004 to 2014 no measles deaths in the U.S. in spite of measles outbreaks. However, from 1990-2014 VAERS (Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System) reported almost 7,000 serious adverse events and 329 deaths related to the vaccine for MMR. See Physicians for Informed Consent and healthimpactnews.com/2015/zero.

Further, many independent professional researchers find that vaccines can weaken the cell-mediated immune system, cause susceptibility to other diseases, and are implicated in the dramatic rise in chronic auto immune diseases. The books, Dissolving Illusions, 2013, and Vaccines and Autoimmunity, 2018, by Cowan, MD are two of many professional resources.

Remember when DDT, cigarettes, flame retardants, and glyphosate were widely promoted by media and bought-off government agencies as scientifically sound?

Remember when antibiotics, x-rays, and opioids were overused?

Let’s not lump parents’ concerns about the CDC’s vaccine program into a simplistic notion that objections are irrational and unscientific. Let’s dialogue rather than denying research and demonizing concerns.
