Columnist bids warm farewell

For the past year I have had the pleasure of writing a weekly column for The Union. Approximately 50 columns were published using my sense of humor, covering various subject matters regarding being alive.

I wish to thank John Seelmeyer for giving me this opportunity, which has resulted in my compiling approximately 110 essays, which I am now submitting to publishers for a proposed book titled “Warm and Fuzzy, Essays by Herb Robins.”

During the year I have received about 20 marvelous letters cheering my efforts on. In one’s creative life one does need the approval of one’s peers. I do believe I received my share from many of the readers here in Nevada County.

I will not be writing for The Union any longer, something that I do miss, but accept in life’s twists and turns. If anybody knows a sensitive, deranged publisher, they still can contact me, I believe, through The Union, or I’m in the phone book.
