Closing of video museum leaves void in our community

The closing of the Video Museum will leave a big void in our historical community. Ron Sturgell put a lot of time and energy into preserving the history of Nevada County. His compensation was the delight in seeing people come into the museum to view all his labors of love. He enjoyed what he did and was giving back to the community a time capsule that could be preserved forever.

The board of directors of the Video Museum are a group of dedicated people, with Ron’s enthusiasm and interest in local history. I know that with Ron’s guidance, they will continue to provide our community of newcomers and the younger generation, as well as us old-timers, a venue to view the rich heritage of Nevada County.

Good luck, Ron! I, for one, appreciated all you did.
