Church plans a free Thanksgiving dinner

The Grass Valley Assembly of God Church and the Salvation Army are planning a free Thanksgiving Day dinner Nov. 28 at The Breakfast Club, 12072 Nevada City Highway in Grass Valley.

The 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. event is free and open to everyone. Organizers are looking for volunteers to help serve the holiday meal. Food will also be delivered to shut-ins who cannot make it to the restaurant.

A turkey-and-trimmings dinner will also be delivered to those working at the California Highway Patrol, the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office and the Grass Valley Police Department, as well as the Nevada City Senior Apartments, the Grass Valley Senior Apartments and the Quail Ridge senior living complex.

Interested volunteers can call 273-1497.
