Christianity will lead to good life

Jeffrey Cram, a local psychotherapist, wrote an intriguing article recently in which he illustrated a life view based on the rhyme, “Row row, row your boat.” Evidently, the analogy to our individual struggles in life is represented by our efforts to “pilot” our respective boats, and this has provided benefit for some of his clients.

I would like to suggest that there is a far better way for each of us to be in harmony with ourselves and our life’s “current.” It is a message that has been available to us for more than 2,000 years and continues to give millions of people an unswerving confidence in an almighty creator who has a plan for each of us. As Jesus Christ demonstrated, we can be one in spirit, and God works in each of us to act according to his good purpose (Philippians 2). To learn more about the eternal good news of Jesus, you are welcome to attend the Alpha Course beginning Sept. 5 at Sierra Presbyterian Church, Ridge Road, Nevada City.
