CHP makes 49 safer

Due to the high fatality rate on Highway 49, I try to avoid it at all costs. Last Friday, due to inclement weather, I had occasion to drive to Auburn from Grass Valley. I was really pleased and proud to see the California Highway Patrol out in full force, giving tickets to speeders, drivers with no lights, drivers passing in a no-passing zone, tailgaters, and reckless drivers in general; for which Highway 49 is known.
