Children reaching out to children in Iraq

I am gathering letters from children in the U.S. to children in Iraq.

The premise is to let them know that we are not G.W. Bush, and we don’t hate them or want to hurt them or cause them suffering. This was done many years ago to children in Russia and was a positive experience (I have heard) for both – the children here and the children there.

Our son, Jorey, wrote a letter and is eager to send it off to a child in Iraq. He is concerned about what’s going on in the world, and I feel this gives him a voice. He has been active with us at peace marches and vigils, etc.

If anyone has a child (teens are welcome) or knows one that would be interested in contributing, feel free to e-mail me with questions or send your letters to Debbie Kiva, P.O. Box 2259, Nevada City, CA 95959.

I will send them off for you.
