Changes to Foundry welcome

As long-time users of the Miners Foundry, we are well aware of the dire need for new bathrooms to this wonderful old building. In addition, if anyone has ever had to climb up the stairs to the Foundry offices, then they also know the need for new administrative offices. The architectural renderings for the new construction have been on display to Friends of the Foundry as well as the community since before Christmas at various Foundry events. We believe that much time and consideration for the best use of space has been taken into account by both the Board of Trustees as well as the architect. The new design for the Foundry is historically considerate to the building as well as to the Foundry’s future use. We hope the Planning Commission sees this and reaches an agreement at its next meeting. Let’s have those bathrooms in before summer.
