Capturing our county

“Everybody Loves a Laugh” was the title of a song in a play performed by third- and fourth-graders recently at Grass Valley Charter School. The play, with music by director Greg Wolfe and script by teacher Merry Byles-Daly, depicted the love of amusing tales told by native Maidu and Miwok people in early California, although the pie in the face was a distinctly modern addition.
