Candidate ignores 1st Amendment

“Information is power.” We need it in order to make informed decisions. Almost daily we read about the importance of the First Amendment and the right each of us has to be heard. I’m certain each member of the Board of Supervisors supports that right.

With that in mind, I find it somewhat puzzling that the new candidate for supervisor, who speaks loudly about that right, wants to retrieve all the biological inventory information gathered over the past year and “place it in a holding location, never to be made public.” Interesting.
