Californians want medical freedom

I don’t know Dr. Banister, but have heard good of him. He is not the first doctor to be singled out and prosecuted. We have a real need for doctors who study alternative medicine; it makes for a better understanding of our health problems. We simply need to give patients and doctors the choice to practice non-toxic forms of medicine and change the board policies so that discipline of physicians is based on harm or fraud and not on using a different approach to treatment.

We need to change the wording of the law that requires physicians to practice “conventional” medicine. We also should request a study be made to see if physicians in private practice are being “profiled” for discipline, because of their “non-conventional approaches to medicine.” Californians want medical freedom. They deserve the freedom to obtain the treatment they choose, especially those that are safe or safer than prevailing medical therapies.
