Realtor opens own real estate business

Diane Helms, a former Realtor for Network Real Estate, is starting a new business, Sierra Gold Network Real Estate, at 225 Colfax Ave., Grazs Valley. The business is expected to open on Oct. 31.

Arborist completes certification process

John Keane of Nevada City recently completed the Certified Arborist examination administered through the International Society of Arborculture.

Keane owns Heritage Arboreal Services, a firm that specializes in trimming small-to-medium ornamental trees and shrubs.

Greg and Kristin Ludlum, of the Grass Valley screen-printing firm Sign Systems, attended the Product Sign Supplies Harvest Moon Sign Artists Festival in Sacramento Oct. 12.

The Ludlums demonstrated techniques of screen printing on coffee mugs.
