Bush can make history by preventing war

What’s the matter with you, Mr. President? Don’t you see you have the opportunity to become the greatest chief executive of America, as well as in world history?

The job that stretches out before you is to bring an end to war – forever!

The first step is to put violence behind you and to begin the pilgrimage of peacemaker.

The way to do this is to persuade as many nations as possible to begin listening to each other.

That means to encourage those who have complaints to speak out. They need to believe that their reasons for hating the United States will be heard.

And then when the listening is well under way, Mr. Bush, you could begin to redirect your $350 billion earmarked for military actions.

Those bucks could be extremely useful for feeding the starving children of the Middle East and elsewhere.

Don’t you see? People will not commit acts of terrorism or war against their best food supply!
