Bumpy streets are miners’ legacy

I want to respond to a recent letter about bumpy Boulder Street. Nevada City is a beautiful little former mining town which has been overwhelmed. Boulder, Cottage, Spring, Gethsemane and all the rest are just miner’s trails that have been paved. There is no way we will have all the comforts of a modern city, and therein lies its beauty. Slow down, sir, turn off the CD and try to hear the miners sing.
