Bruce Conklin: public servant

We can learn a lot about candidates by the way they campaign.

One candidate has defaced our county with billboard-sized signs, and recruited supporters with misinformation, fear and personal attacks. That’s an ugly vision for our future.

Another candidate walks the streets of his district, talking with his constituents. Rather than tearing down others, he cites his many accomplishments for our community: improving county services for seniors and children, putting county government on a sound fiscal basis, preserving our rural, small-town atmosphere.

District 3 voters have an opportunity March 5 to re-elect a true public servant, Bruce Conklin.
