Adult GED classes scheduled

Adult Education offers both day and evening GED classes. Day classes meet at the Cal Works Facility, 117 New Mohawk Drive in Nevada City, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to noon. Evening classes meet on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Park Avenue Center, 350 Buena Vista St. in Grass Valley. They are held in the Adult Education classroom on campus.

Registration may be done at the Adult Education classroom on campus. Classes are free, and the study guide is $15. There is a $75 fee for testing services.

Walking tour brochure updated




An updated version of the brochure “A Walking Tour of Historic Downtown Grass Valley” is now available at the visitor center, 248 Mill St., Grass Valley.

The brochure maps and describes 47 downtown buildings and includes information on other points of interest in the Grass Valley area.

The publication is sponsored by the Grass Valley/Nevada County Chamber of Commerce.
