Board for saving FREED

FREED’s Fix-It Program for seniors and people with disabilities was in jeopardy earlier this year due to a funding shortfall. I’d like to thank the Board of Supervisors, particularly Bruce Conklin, for its assistance in assuring that the community did not lose this valuable resource.

I had the opportunity during the Community Partners budget process, which helped fund us, to see the board at work, and I was impressed by how well all five supervisors worked together. I think Nevada County is very fortunate to have such a fine group of public servants. Thank you.
