Better idea for traffic conflict

The powers that be seem to have come up with the solution to the traffic problem at the Main Street and Idaho-Maryland intersection.

I am certain the roundabout would have been a disaster. I do feel, however, that the plan would work better for the city if the Bennett Street off-ramp was closed instead of the Main Street on-ramp.

With this done, there would be no conflict with the ons and the offs and would prevent a multitude of rush-hour traffic tying up every intersection on their way to the Auburn Street on-ramp, which would happen if the Main Street on-ramp was closed.

The Main Street off-ramp is quite close to Bennett Street and is centrally located, so there would be no loss in closing the Bennett ramp.

It is very pleasant, though, to see some thought given to a better solution to the traffic problem.
