Bedwell boycotted a debate

Bedwell boycotted a debate because media hosts lacked conservative representation. He recommended The Republic, a professedly “independent” publication supporting candidates all aligned with the same political party.

So Conklin “debated” alone, while Bedwell, it turns out, was “debating” alone elsewhere – to an audience of likely supporters.

Now, Bedwell and supporters are staging a “High Noon” event where the two candidates will debate from tree stumps. (Guess who gets the taller stump.)

I cannot vote for a candidate who will not venture outside his personal comfort zone. In the real “High Noon,” Gary Cooper faced his adversary alone – on open ground.
