Attacks on Conklin ironic

Bruce Conklin has served on the Nisenan Recreation & Park Formation Committee (Grass Valley/Nevada City area) for more than two years. He was elected as its initial chairman and was recently unanimously re-elected to that position, an obligation he might easily have ducked.

It is ironic that he is being attacked by his opponents for now promoting a county park within his district. If Mark Johnson really cared about parks, recreation and historical preservation, he would offer to help, not take it as an opportunity to play politics. We expected this from Drew, but are saddened by Mark’s behavior.
