Assessment raises concerns

I, too, am concerned about the “un-secret” nature of the fire assessment ballot. I have one house and one detached office on my property and the proposed assessment is $133.50 per year. If the Board adds 3 percent to my assessment every year, in 10 years I will be paying $179.00 as my fire assessment. The Fire District Board can add 3 per cent every year from now until the blue horse comes home.
