Kenneth and Winonah Smith of Nevada City celebrated their 60th anniversary recently. They were married March 14, 1942, in San Antonio, Texas.

There will be a celebratory dinner on July 14 for friends and family at the Holbrooke Hotel.

The Smith children are Sylvia Brooker of Moss Landing, K. Allen Smith of Grand Junction, Colo., and Syndia Tucker of Heidelberg, Germany.

There are five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mr. Smith is retired from the U.S. Air Force. He is a member of the Nevada County Radio Club, American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Vietnam Veterans of America. His hobbies include stained-glass art and water-skiing.

Mrs. Smith is also retired. Her hobbies include crafts, painting, gardening and flower arranging. She is a member of the Sacramento Arrangers Guild and the Auburn Arrangers Guild.

The Smiths have lived in Nevada County for 26 years.
