Anniversary: Raglin

Myrna and Loren Raglin recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family members in Palm Springs. The Raglins met in Red Bluff while working summer jobs. They were married on Feb. 3, 1952.

The Raglins celebrated the occasion with their children: Doug Raglin of Woodland Hills and Sue Holm of Placerville; respective spouses Ilse Allen and Dave Holm; and grandchildren Angela Raglin, Jesse Allen and Nicholas and Becky Holm.

The couple designed Myrna’s original wedding ring diamonds into a necklace, which Loren presented to Myrna.

The couple lived briefly in Torrance, where Loren was a mechanical engineer for Northrop Corp. and Myrna was a customer service representative for Pacific Bell. The couple then moved to Mountain View. After nearly 27 years in the electronics industry, in 1977, Loren retired as vice president of manufacturing with Granger Association. The couple then built a home in Nevada City.

The Raglins are active in the community, where Myrna is a member of the Pine Tree Quilt Guild and Loren volunteers with various organizations helping with computer learning.
