Francis and Josephine Foucher of Grass Valley celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary recently. They were married July 18, 1944, in Warren, Mich.

Family and friends honored the couple at an anniversary party at the Fouchers’ residence in Alta Sierra.

The Fouchers have five children: Louise Morley of Rocklin; Al Sears of Yuma, Ariz., and B. Foucher, Charles Sears and Darnell Sears, all deceased. There are 16 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Foucher is a retired builder. His current interests include woodworking, and the Men’s Club at United Methodist Church in Grass Valley.

Mrs. Foucher is a retired homemaker. She is enjoying retirement at 94.

The Fouchers have lived in Nevada County for 18 years.
