Anniversary " Alstrand

Friends and family celebrated Marilyn and Al Alstrand’s 50th wedding anniversary on March 24 at the Stonehouse Restaurant in Nevada City. The couple’s children, Eric, Nancy and Gail, provided decorations, video and Peter The Magician for the evening’s entertainment.

The Alstrands were married on March 24, 1957 at the Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley. Mr. Alstrand is a past president of the Grass Valley Rotary and a member of the Early Risers Toastmaster’s Club. Mrs. Alstrand enjoys gardening and knitting and is a past president of the Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and a member of the Nevada City Inner Wheel. The couple has three children, Eric, of Truckee, Nancy, of Nevada City and Gail, of Grass Valley; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
