Animal shelter full, adoptions needed

It’s raining cats and dogs – mostly cats – at the Nevada County Animal Shelter.

Shelter volunteer coordinator Cheryl Wicks said, “The shelter is full.”

For anyone thinking about adopting a cat or kitten, now is the time, Wicks said.

“Please come to the shelter Saturday between 10 a.m.and noon and adopt a cat,” Wicks said. “You won’t be sorry.”

Although closed for the Labor Day holiday, the shelter is also open 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays. For more information, call 273-2179.
