An immigrant nation

On May 1, my dad and I wore white shirts in support of the immigrant workers in this country. I believe that immigrants keep this country strong. A couple of years ago, my uncle put together a book about my dad’s family genealogy. I found out that 10 out of 12 of my dad’s grandparents and great-grandparents were born in other countries (England, Spain, Puerto Rico, Canada, France, Germany, and India) and immigrated to the United States. I believe that people from different countries should have the same chance as people were born in this country. I think that all of the people who are getting mad about immigration should just calm down because their family immigrated to America at some point in history.
