Afghan relief drive supporters

The Grass Valley Friends Meeting wishes to thank all those who participated in the successful December Afghan winter relief drive.

A pickup truck load of warm blankets, etc. donated by Nevada County residents was delivered to the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) relief center in San Francisco.

These donations will augment AFSC shipments already sent to Afghan refugees in December – five 40-foot cargo containers including winter clothing and 150,000 blankets.

Cash donations totaling $1,020 will purchase blankets in that region of the world thus supporting local economics.
