Abortions create technician shortage

A writer to this column claimed recently that the Planned Parenthood prevents abortions. That is clearly false. According to their own reports, during 1998, Planned Parenthood facilities performed 167,928 surgical abortions, averaging $350 per abortion. Yet they claim to be a nonprofit organization. The records of Planned Parenthood of California alone show a net profit over $33 million.

What is sad is that a large part of their funding comes from us, taxpayers. Government officials have no right to give our money to Planned Parenthood. Since 1987, the American taxpayers have contributed $1.81 billion to Planned Parenthood – and the results? Morality of young people destroyed and replaced by hedonistic views of sex for fun, without self control and responsibility. Most young people do not realize that abortion kills a developing human being with immortal soul.

Such selfish attitude leads to a below-replacement level of reproduction, which in turn has economic and cultural consequences: a shortage of qualified people in our expanding electronic industry. Out of those 40 million aborted babies since 1973, there would have been sufficient number of intelligent men to be trained for computer programmers and other qualified technicians – instead of importing them now from Near East, India and other countries.

Considering such tragic results of abortion, you might call un-American the organization mostly responsible for the population decline and moral crisis in our country.
