AAUW fund-raiser appraises valuables

The Nevada County American Association of University Women Educational Foundation presents a fund-raising event to appraise valuables from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.Saturday in the L.O.V.E Building in Condon Park in Grass Valley.

Fourteen professional appraisers are donating their time.

Appraisal forms will be sold for $9 or two for $15 until 3 p.m. so appraisals can be completed by 4 p.m..

The $2 admission includes watching the appraisers at work, appraising and answering questions. Coffee and tea are included; homemade cookies will be for sale. A number of baskets donated by branch interest groups will be raffled.

Proceeds from the day will go to AAUW’s educational fellowship and scholarship offerings.
