A president’s promise

George Bush promised the nation on “Meet The Press” that he would release his unaltered military records. The Associated Press is currently trying to obtain these records through the court system. What is so secret and why have those public files been classified? Maybe George is having a hard time getting fake records made?

Why is it so important, most people ask themselves? This issue is important because George W. Bush will not speak out against the slander ad against a war veteran’s military service record.

I say slander ad because the ad has been proven by official documentation to be false. John Kerry was a volunteer for the Vietnam war. He had the means to get around the war, but he joined to serve his country. He did this with honor and should be treated as a hero. Medals or no medals, he and all of the people who served in any war are heroes.

George, quit your hiding and just be straight with the nation for once.
