If a 200-pound man has been drinking to excess and wants to avoid taking an alcohol test, would waiting 22 hours be long enough for his blood level to drop below the legal limit?

If an injured man wants to avoid taking an alcohol test, wouldn’t he be inclined to wait until his blood level dropped below the legal limit before going to a hospital?

Is there another explanation?
