Zelda Heller

No services will be held for Zelda M. Heller, of Penn Valley, who passed away March 23 at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital. She was 93.

Mrs. Heller was born Aug. 19, 1913, to Eber and Carrie Rife in Pennsylvania. She completed the 12th grade.

Mrs. Heller worked for DeWitt State Hospital for more than 10 years.



On Dec. 8, 1947, she married Don Heller in Maryland.

Her hobbies included crocheting, needle work, puzzles, fishing and camping.




Mrs. Heller is survived by her daughter, Louise Ohrum of Penn Valley; stepson, Don Heller Jr., of Idaho; stepdaughter, Doris Shaver of Arizona; grandsons Robert Ohrum of Penn Valley, Carl Ohrum and partner, Janet Romero, of Washington, Parker Ohrum and partner, Bev McGee, of Pennsylvania, Don Heller III of Idaho, Randy Heller of Idaho and Ron Heller of California; granddaughter, Peni Wilson; 13 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Heller Sr., in 1996.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Penn Valley Fire Department.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
